Fort Osage Education Foundation

Welcome to the Foundation

Through your generous donations, students reach higher, teachers maximize classroom impact, and District facilities continue to improve.

Please Give

Dear Fort Osage Community,
While we missed our annual Red Barn Bash this year, the silent auction was a big success!  There were over 75 great items to bid on, and combined with sponsorships and other individual donations, we raised just over $13,000.  We offer a big thanks again to our major sponsors, to those who donated items for the auction, to our bidders, to our committee volunteers, and to other individuals who made a cash donation.  Your generosity will be put to immediate use as the foundation will be selecting teacher grant winners just next month in November.  The foundation awards these grants twice annually for pressing needs teachers have identified in their classrooms.
Thank you for your support during these difficult times!
For more information, contact Stephanie Smith, Director of Public Relations, at (816) 650-7019.

Foundation Gifts

Gifts to the Foundation provide scholarships to deserving seniors, award classroom grants to teachers, and support the District’s special projects. In the past, this has included expansion of the multipurpose building and athletic facilities.

The Fort Osage Education Foundation welcomes your support. Student scholarships, classroom grants for teachers, and building infrastructure improvements are among the ways your donations are used.

Mission Focused

Your Support Fuels Our Mission

The Fort Osage Education Foundation’s mission is to oversee the investment of existing scholarship money, approve the distribution of scholarships, and build philanthropic support. This support directly impacts our students, teachers, the Fort Osage School District, and the community it serves.

Poetic Voices

The Power of Words

“Whether our students are going to college, the military, or entering the workforce, they need to understand the value and importance of their voice. Much of our students’ worlds are surrounded by poetry and lyrics. Through teaching modern poetry, students are exposed to writers advocating for social change, exploring common themes, and investigating the unknown. “
